Carers Wellbeing Programme with built in respite
Age Connects West Midlands, funded by Forward Carers through the BEAM (Building Emotional Resilience and Mental Health) Programme, offers a three week wellbeing and resilience course designed specifically for unpaid carers. This programme provides structured support to help carers improve their emotional and physical wellbeing while also ensuring their cared for person is safely accommodated during the sessions.

Caring for the Carer – Three Week Wellbeing & Resilience Programme
Age Connects West Midlands, funded by Forward Carers through the BEAM (Building Emotional Resilience and Mental Health) Programme, offers a three week wellbeing and resilience course designed specifically for unpaid carers. This programme provides structured support to help carers improve their emotional and physical wellbeing while also ensuring their cared for person is safely accommodated during the sessions.
What the Programme Offers
Weekly Wellbeing Sessions
- The programme runs for three consecutive weeks, with one session per week.
Support for Unpaid Carers
The course helps carers to improve:
- Wellbeing and emotional resilience
- Sleep quality
- Nutrition
- Physical activity
Support for the Cared For Person
- Your cared for person can attend day care at the same time as your session.
- This care is fully supported by staff, allowing carers to participate without worry.
Small, Supportive Group Size
- Each course offers limited availability for up to 5 carers, ensuring a supportive and personalised experience.
Attendance Commitment
- Carers must commit to attending all three sessions.
Lunch Included
- Lunch is provided after each session.
